BAPTISM

We believe that the grace of God cannot be augmented in any way by works (Eph. 2:8‑9), and that water baptism thus does not contribute to an individual's salvation. We believe, however, that water baptism is scripturally prescribed and that it is intended as a witness of an event that transpired between God and the individual at the time of the new birth (Matt. 28:19; Acts 8:35‑38; Rom. 6:3‑5).
